Elora Gorge

     The Elora Gorge is one of the most beautiful and spectacular natural area in the Grand River   valley.    The Grand River rushes through the gorge, which has 22-metre high cliffs. Riverside trails (with safety barriers) and scenic overlooks provide hikers with stunning views of the water far below where kayakers and tubers make their way through the rapids.

Mrówki - How to Control Pavement Ants

1. Whole cloves and bay leaves. Their odor is unappealing to your insect intruders. Place whole cloves or/and bay leaves around your house to prevent reinfestation.
2. Coffee grounds (even used will work well). The bugs proved to be very susceptible to caffeine. The workers lose their scent trails and the colony dies from starvation. Just empty coffee grounds along your house foundations and on their hills.
3. Natural repellant. Create a thick unbroken line out of cinnamon, citrus oil, powdered chalk, flour, talcum powder, turmeric, black/cayenne pepper, powdered charcoal, lavender oil, or salt around your house. Any of these is an excellent repellant, and the pests won’t cross this kind of defensive barrier. But keep in mind that it’s not permanent and you’ll have to replace the line from time to time (especially after a rainstorm).

HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle
HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)
Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.

Masa orzechowa lub migdałowa

      To jest tort z kremem migdałowym,  jest przepyszny i tak naprawde można to nazwać

Składniki:

       Krem orzechowy  lub migdałowy

• 400 g zmielonych orzechów włoskich   Zamiast orzechów można płatki migdałów i 
• 400 ml mleka                                          wtedy dodać olejek migdałowy
• 300 g cukru pudru
• 400 g masła miękkiego
• 50 ml spirytusu (opcjonalnie)

Sposób przygotowania:

Orzechy zalać mlekiem, zagotować, mieszając co jakiś czas, aby masa się nie przypaliła. Następnie zdjąć z ognia i pozostawić do wystudzenia. Masło utrzeć z cukrem pudrem do puszystości. Stopniowo dodać ostudzoną masę orzechową. Miksować do uzyskania jednolitego, gładkiego kremu.

 Tak przygotowany krem można użyć do tortu, ciast itp. Smacznego!
